Blagodatni oganj je na Veliku subotu, uoči Vaskrsa, sišao u Hram groba Gospodnjeg (Crkva Vaskrsenja Hristovog) u Jerusalimu, javila je ruska televizija.

Silazak Blagodatnog ognja odvija se u Kuvukliji, kapeli u centru Hrama Vaskrsenja Hristovog, u kojoj se nalazi grob Isusa Hrista.

Uprkos brojnim pokušajima, niko kroz istoriju nije uspio da odgonetne misteriju silaska Blagodatnog ognja.

Sveti oganj simbolizuje svjetlost Hristovog vaskrsenja, navodi TASS.
